If you are not sure how to change your website over to VWD-CMS, please contact me - I provide consulting services which include importing existing websites into VWD-CMS.

Post-Installation Configuration Tasks

There are a few things that you should do before you start building your site:

  1. Security Settings

    2. Make sure the User Account used for Impersonation has Write-Level permissions.
    3. Protect the VwdCms folder (using IIS or Plesk) with a Windows Account and Password.

  2. Web.config Settings
    1. Set the Default Settings for Page Title, Description, etc.
    2. Set the Domain, Company Name, City, State, etc.

  3. Language Settings
    1. If you only want to support English, you can comment out all of the other languages in the VwdCms/Languages.xml file.
    2. If you want to support multiple languages, edit the VwdCms/Languages.xml file to have the languages that you want.
    3. If you add a new language, you will need to get an icon for the flag (or whatever you want to display).
